First class design
A set of first class stamps are to be issued in January 2009 commemorating ten icons of British design. The Royal Mail’s new series offers a nostaligic look at some great British Design Classics.
Among the series are; Sir Giles Gilbert Scott’s telephone box, Robin Day’s polypropylene chair, George Carwardine’s angelpoise lamp, Edward Young’s designs for Penguin and Concorde.

Dear Santa...
The Audi Auto Union Type C pedal car is a limited edition - 'almost exact' replica of the 1936 racer. Powered by a mean 0 horsepower, 7 speed, chain drive, pedal-it-yourself engine. It has a hand brake lever and hydraulic double disc brakes and inside a real oak dashboard and leather steering wheel - very cool indeed! Oh I wish I was 7 again so I could put it on my list to Santa...
A paper bottle?
The 360 paper water bottle from Brand Image is an attempt to address the millions of plastic bottles thrown away daily. The paper vessel is made from 100% renewable food-safe resources, fully recyclable. Very cool.
Have a seat
Loving these orange chairs...
Image is from Sydney interior designers Juliette Arent and Sarah-Jane Pyke of Arent & Pyke (Do check out their website they have done some amazing stuff).

Another lovely house
Located in San Francisco and recently completely renovated by its owners, Casper and Lexie Mork-Ulnes. I especially love the staircase - salvaged timber glued together to form butcher-block like treads.

Illustration
Third Drawer Down are a Australian company that reproduce artwork by contemporary artists as limited edition screen prints onto everyday items like teatowels and pillowcases. Very sweet.
